  • Hobbies == He mostly spends his time people watching, and staring at those he finds even mildly interesting (and let's hope you're not); reading just about anything he can get his hands on; debating about morals and ethics; and working on "projects" that lock him in his home for weeks on end.

Appearance

  • Hair == Unruly, curly, and black in color - he seems to have a hard time getting it together; but also it looks weirdly good on him.

  • Eyes == He will always have some sort of headpiece that obstructs his eyes, whether it is a mask of some sort, goggles, or reading glasses that always glare - and so his eye color goes unknown to those he is not intimate with.

  • Height == 6 fulms, 2 ilms

  • Build == He is by no means "small", but he isn't the most... well, assuming character out there. If one had to place what shape his body was made for, it would likely be long-distance running - he is definitely not athletically built enough to participate in combat.

  • Distinguishing Features == He's not. He's a rather unassuming man that doesn't quite stand out any more than the typical adventurer. Though his mask could be somewhat distinguishing.

  • Common Accessories == A metallic blue mask, red goggles, or reading glasses - all of which obstruct his eyes in some manner, regardless of lighting in the area; several queer-looking mechanical devices, all of which look impractical; and few thick "journals" that he uses to catalogue new experiences.

  • Children == None - it would be absolutely terrifying if he did.

  • Parents == Whoever they were, they're long dead now. There doesn't seem to be any records on his family.

  • Siblings == He, at one point, had three siblings - they, too, do not exist anymore.

  • Other Relatives == If he did, well... they sure are dead.

Previous "employees" - Amosis always has a legally binding contract on hand when it comes to working for him - though most people tend to not read the fine print. This could be you. And I'm sorry if it was. Employees would have experienced severe psycological torture, in order to garner hate towards him... for some reason.

Previous - or current... not-so-employees - If your character is a Warrior of Light or carries some influence in historical events, then he might have, uh, "persuaded" this individual into working for him. Kidnapping. It's kidnapping. While incredibly difficult to do so, it's possible they could have found a way to escape. Or they could still be stuck there.

Past contacts - He is always looking for other historians or collectors that might be willing to either work with him in cataloguing experiences or purchasing artifacts; he might even reach out first if your character is well renowned for such things.

I Think I Know You...:
If your character is a surviving Allagan, Nymian, Amdapori, or Mhachi - it may be possible that they have come across Amosis before. He hasn't changed his name in the eras that have passed, though his appearance has. However, the shape of his body and face have only slightly changed; and his sense of style has not.

RP Hooks

The Wallflower:
How many times he’ll insist he’s an adventurer, he can be found in the same spot every day at near the exact same time. In front of the Milvaneth Sacrarium, usually in front of the fountain… sometimes in it, it depends on the day but without asking, it’s hard to say why. He’ll carry things with him, boxes, mostly, small ones. Books, pieces of technology; and he’ll stand there. Waiting. For something or someone. The bells toll - it’s lunch time.
He’ll stand watch in heavily populated areas, eyes boring into each person he comes across. Heavy is the feeling of his gaze, nor does it feel of an appreciative one. More scrutinizing. Are you interesting, are you boring, are you of any vague concern to him? -He’s the judge of that, so he’ll say, and you’ll find out very soon if you are interesting.

Stranger in a Strange... Situation:
If he finds your character interesting - let's hope he doesn't - then there's a more than zero percent chance that he may come back... over. And over. And over again. Just for conversation, of course, of course. These conversations may turn to strange events instead - such as small adventures which may or may not be potentially dangerous.

Not the Most Socially Acceptable Person
Amosis is... well, he's not necessarily unlucky, but he does end up in some sticky situations. They're mostly caused by misunderstandings or the wrong words at the wrong time. You may have seen him enter one of these situations. You may have seen him dead in a ditch, now walking about as if a normal day.

Amosis is constantly looking for people to work for him in his museum. However, there's always a catch - and it's in the contract. He advertises by means of paper flyers posted around the city, and it's a very lucrative pay. But let's hope it's worth it.

The Chronicler:
Due to his work as a chronicler, historian, and curator; Amosis can be found in any place that may have historical significance, or even significant current events.

Look, let's be real - Amosis is kinda weird. If your character's a curious one, then by all means, walk right up to him! He seems to be a fairly open person.
